Dec. 1996: Successful year for European satellites

According to a 1996 Year in Review article, published in the December 9th-15th issue of Space News;

"European built science satellites turned in a spectacular year. The Infrared Space Observatory built by prime contractor Aerospatiale, and the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory built by Matra Marconi Space are considered two of the best performing satellites ever built by European Contractors."

CAPTEC is proud of its involvement in the development of the ISO and SOHO satellites.The on-board software for the Attitude and Orbit Control Subsystem in both satellites was developed by CAPTEC for the subsystem contractors Fokker Space Systems and Matra Marconi Space.
